Terms & Conditions
Last updated: November 2025]
These Terms & Conditions outline how I provide my dog training services and what you can expect when working with me. By booking a session, you agree to the terms below. If anything is unclear, feel free to contact me at david@pupmeister.co.uk.
1. My Training Approach
I use positive, reward-based, force-free methods only.
I do not use punishment, fear-based tools, or equipment designed to cause discomfort.
By booking with me, you agree to follow the training techniques and guidance I provide. If methods that contradict positive training are used during a session, I may pause or stop the session.
2. Your Responsibilities
To get the best results, you agree to:
Work consistently on the training plan between sessions.
Be honest about your dog’s behaviour and any relevant history (e.g., reactivity, aggression, anxiety).
Provide a safe environment for training, whether at home or outside.
Let me know about any allergies or dietary restrictions your dog has.
Keep your dog under control at all times during sessions.
3. Health & Welfare
Please rearrange your session if your dog is unwell, showing signs of contagious illness, or recovering from injury.
Your dog should be up-to-date with vaccinations or titre testing and be treated for fleas and worms.
If I believe your dog needs veterinary assessment before training continues, I will advise you accordingly.
4. Payments
Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your 1-to-1 or remote session.
All fees are clearly stated on my website or in your booking confirmation.
Payments are non-refundable except in the circumstances outlined below.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule
More than 48 hours’ notice: you may reschedule once at no charge.
Less than 48 hours’ notice: the session is chargeable in full.
No-shows: non-refundable.
To rearrange, please email me at david@pupmeister.co.uk.
If I need to cancel
If I need to move a session due to illness, weather conditions, or an emergency, I will offer you an alternative date.
If rescheduling isn’t possible, I’ll refund you in full.
6. Remote Training Sessions
For online sessions:
You’re responsible for ensuring you have a working internet connection.
If the session cannot go ahead due to technical issues on your side, it may be treated as a late cancellation.
Sessions will only be recorded with your explicit consent.
7. Safety & Behaviour
I may adapt or stop a session if your dog’s behaviour poses a risk to you, me, or the public.
If your dog shows levels of aggression or anxiety requiring clinical behavioural support, I may recommend referral to a qualified behaviourist or veterinary professional.
8. Dog Laws & Owner Responsibility
You are responsible for your dog at all times during training sessions and must comply with UK dog laws relating to control and behaviour.
This includes ensuring your dog does not cause injury, damage, or put others at risk.
I cannot be held liable for incidents that occur as a result of your dog’s behaviour.
9. Liability
You remain responsible for your dog’s behaviour at all times.
I cannot accept liability for injury, loss, or damage caused by your dog during or after training.
Results cannot be guaranteed — every dog is an individual, and progress relies on consistent practice.
10. Photos & Video
I may occasionally ask to take photos or videos for training or promotional use.
I will only use images with your consent, and you may opt out at any time.
11. Data Protection
I handle your personal information in line with my Privacy Policy.
Your details will never be sold or shared without permission unless required by law.
12. Training Materials
Any training plans, notes, or handouts I provide are for your personal use only.
Please do not share, publish, or distribute them without permission.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14. Agreement
By booking a session with me, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
