Online Dog Training & Remote Coaching for Puppies and Teens

Personal coaching, wherever you are

If you like the sound of the way I work but can't make in-person sessions happen—whether that's distance, schedule, or just preferring to learn from home—remote coaching gives you the same tailored, breed-specific approach via video.

Remote coaching gives you more than just flexibility in scheduling—we can also adapt the programme itself to what works best for you and your dog. We'll cover all the essential areas outlined below in the course content, but how we deliver it adapts to your specific situation. You'll get structured guidance, video feedback when you need it (send me clips between sessions if you want to), and unlimited support so you're never stuck waiting for the next call.

Available for both puppy foundation training (8-20 weeks) and adolescent dog programmes (6-18 months), wherever you are in the UK or internationally

Online Dog Training – How Remote Coaching Works

How it works

Weekly video coaching sessions tailored to your puppy or teen. We work through demonstrations, training plans, and progress reviews remotely—giving you expert guidance that fits around your schedule and location.

Why choose remote?

Remote coaching works best when you need structured support but can't accommodate in-person sessions. You'll still get breed-specific guidance and tailored training plans—the difference is you implement the techniques between sessions, with video review and feedback to keep you on track.

“When our Sprocker hit the teenage stage her recall suddenly went — she’d just sprint off. David explained what was going on and showed us some simple exercises and recall games for Spaniels we’d never heard of. Within a couple of weeks her recall was back and we were comfortable letting her off lead again”

  • A phone, tablet, or laptop with camera and microphone, stable internet connection, and a space where you can work with your dog (doesn't need to be large - we'll work with what you have). A phone tripod or stand is helpful for hands-free filming but not essential - you can prop your device against books or furniture. Treats or toys for rewards, and a lead/collar if we're working on recall or lead walking.

  • Yes - remote coaching is available anywhere in the UK and internationally.

  • We use Zoom, WhatsApp, or Skype (whichever you prefer). Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes. You'll demonstrate what you're working on, I'll coach you through adjustments in real time, and we'll set up your practice plan for the week ahead.

  • Different, not less effective. You'll need to implement techniques yourself between sessions, but many clients find this builds confidence faster. The video feedback means I can spot timing issues and give precise guidance.

  • You'll have a final progress review, recommendations for continuing training, and a follow-up call one month later to check how things are going.

Pick your free survival survival guide

Whether you're in early puppy chaos or teenage rebellion, you need different strategies for different phases.

The Puppy Primer (0-6 months) covers the eight things that trip most people up in the early months: sleep, house training, crate training, biting, the puppy blues, zoomies, jumping up, and filtering out bad advice. It's a practical guide to coping with the chaos and understanding what's actually normal.

Terrible Teens (6-18 months) tackles the phase where everything falls apart. Between 6 and 18 months, your dog's brain is essentially rewiring—which is why skills you thought were nailed suddenly aren't. This guide covers why recall fails when it matters, how to prevent lead pulling from becoming a habit, what to do when your dog tests every boundary, and how to manage that adolescent energy without making things worse.

Both are frank, evidence-based guides written for people who need actual help—not Instagram perfection. Pick whichever phase tackling now.
